Hi,
I just upgrade my proxmox server to a new hardware IBM x3650-M5, I used same proxmox boot disk from the old system (older hardware, so it was boot from grub). I have to use legacy bio boot in order to be able to boot from the disk. Here is output for "proxmox-boot-tool status":

Hello!
I am not sure if this is possible, and I am pretty much a noob with PBS/Proxmox, but I have a question about backing up ZFS file systems on PBS directly.
I am running a cluster of PVEs with various VMs.
I have a physical PBS system that is backing these VMs up beautifully.
I also have a OmniOS system with Napp-it installed that has various ZFS file systems that I would like to backup as well to the PBS (ideally taking care of dedupe, pruning and scheduling).

mit ist ein Verhalten aufgefallen: Wenn ich ISOs von PVE in den CEPH Storage downloaden lasse, verlieren wohl einige OSDs die Verbindung.
Nicht aber z.B. bei VM Restore auf CEPH Storage.
RADOS Benchmarks ergeben auch keine Fehler
Ich habe zunächst 3 Screenshots, was ich noch an Informationen posten soll weiß ich. akut nicht.
Hat jemand anhand der Screenshots schon eine Idee, woran das liegen könnte?

I'd like to set a default permissions group to my openid connect users. That way I can onboard users in one location and have a default restricted set of permissions in proxmox.

I understand the way The Cluster Resources for Storage is summed up for all attached pools, but I do not consider the PBS as actual usable storage unlike a NFS mount for example.
Is there anyway to allow PBS backups without including the Storage pool to each node and/or remove the PBS storage from the Cluster Storage Total Capacity?

Hi, I did not find something similar via search engine: We lately have problems when moving disks, the process continues for more than 100% of data, moves way more data than the disk size accounts for, then the finishing seems to repeat certain steps all over again and again, like so:

per Default, PMG setzt die E-Mail
mail@fromthisdomain.com in die Whitelist.
Laut
RFC2606, die folgende Domänen sind erlaubt als Beispieldomänen:
- *.test
- *.example
- *.invalid
- *.localhost
- example.com
- example.net
- example.org
Der Domäne fromthisdomain.com
wird aktuell von jemanden verwendet, und sollte somit auf keinem Fall auf alle Installationen whitegelistet werden.

ich bin absoluter Newbee, was Proxmox angeht. Bisher habe ich nur einige Docker Container auf meiner Synology am Laufen und einen Hyper-V auf einem separaten Server mit einem Windows-Server VM (nur als Basis für MS SQL Server) und einer weiteren Linux-VM für Testzwecke.

Sometimes in the 3 nodes cluster (home-lab), I have to do some hardware changes or repairs on 2 of the nodes/pve hosts, instead of doing the 2 pve host's repairs in parallel, I have to do it one at a time, to always keep two nodes up, running and connected, because If I leave only one pve host running, it will shutdown all the VMs due to lack of quorum.

I'm using at a server running Debian bullseye (PVE 7.4) and I have a PBS for backups. Everything was working from PVE until about one week ago (maybe I upgraded to pbs 3.3). I had a daily backup job for a pool. If I try to run the job manually from the gui, I get a "Broken pipe (596)" error. I've been trying several things like restarting the pbs, but no luck. If I use vzdump from the command line for the pbs, it works perfectly.
I've tried disabling the job and reenabling, with no luck...

For the past couple of months, I have been desperately trying to resize the volume of my Proxmox container because it has been constantly running out of space. I followed the few guides that I've seen on the forum page, but every single one of them has led me to a dead end. When I utilize the GUI to resize my filesystem, instead of properly doing so and adding space to root, it adds it into /dev/shm and that directory refuses to stay unmounted. Ich würde mir gern einen Server aufbauen, mit 2x U.2 "Platten" im ZFS RAID 1.
Das Wunsch-Board (Supermicro X12SPZ-LN4F-B) unterstützt kein U.2. Daher dachte ich, ich packe einen Broadcom MegaRAID 9560-16i rein.
So richtig finde ich aber nichts zu dem Thema. Ich will kein RAID mit dem Controller machen. Das soll nur ZFS. Kann ich den dafür benutzen, oder lieber eine andere Hardware...

aktuell versuche ich, ein bestehendes Image innerhalb von Proxmox zu verkleinern.
Im Betriebssystem habe ich bereits den belegten Platz reduziert. Im zweiten Schritt wollte ich über die Kommandozeile mit der Funktion qemu-img dass das Image verkleinern.

As part of a migration from VMWare Cloud Director, we are trying to find a way to restrict teams to allocations of CPU, Storage, Memory with flexibility on what to create within these allocations. For example Team A has an allocation of CPU, Storage and Memory and within those limits they can create whichever VMs they would like.
Is this a possible configuration in Proxmox?

My linux skills aren't the best, and i've been searching and trying everything w/ no luck.
I have a hard drive that was previously holding 2 vms on proxmox. Due to stupidity, I killed that instance of proxmox to an unusable state. The VM LV's still exist on there though.

we are thinking about migrating from ovirt to proxmox and have quite a lot of direct luns there. I saw that it is possible to use direct luns in proxmox but I haven't found a way to configure multipath with that. Please don't get me wrong, I found the wiki documentation about iscsi multipathing and using lvm on top. It is great and it works.
