Gibt es über die API eine Möglichkeit alle Snapshots und deren Grösse von einem Datastore und Namespace abzufragen?
Konkret möchte ich die Backupgrössen abfragen für eine automatisierte Verrechnung, nur finde ich keinen passenden Endpunkt dafür...

I have configured shared storage for Proxmox using a Dell PowerStore 1200T. The protocol in use is NVMe over TCP. Everything works fine, except the connection does not persist after a reboot.

Noob here, fell into the PVE rabbit hole a couple of weeks ago on my OptiPlex micro and hoping to consolidate existing hardware into a single server to save on power consumption.

Hey i have problems with the installation. After clicking the installation button, this text shows up (command 'unsquashfs -f -dest /rpool/ROOT/pve-l -i /cdrom/pve-base.squashfs' failed with exit code 1 at /usr/share/perl5/Proxmox/install.pm line 1023). I don't know what its meens to me.

Can I've an email after every replica with success or fail ?

eine kurze Frage sicherheitshalber, da ich mir mit dem mounten von Verzeichnissen zu Backup-Zwecken schon mal böse die Karten gelegt habe (root-Verzeichnis vollgelaufen weil der mountpoint für Backups nicht eingehängt war):

Hallo.
Ich habe mir einen neuen Server gebaut...

• Supermicro Mainboard H12SSL-NT
• OnBoard Netzwerkkarte Broadcom BCM57416 (10G)

Dazu habe ich dann die neuste ProxMox-ISO für die Installation genutzt.

Leider habe ich hier keine Netzwerk-Verbindung nach der Installation.
Nehme ich ProxMox 7.x (letzte ISO) so funktioniert alles perfekt.
(auch wenn ich von PVE 7.x dann ein Upgrade auf 8.3 mache geht es nicht...)

Wo liegt denn hier mein Fehler?

We're succesfully using Ceph on Proxmox, and have started to attempt to use CephFS.
We are able to mount, and create a file, but can then not write to the file, it shows the below error:

Hello,
I have installed Proxmox VE, with a single virtual machine (OMV).
However, after about an hour of use, the system becomes inaccessible. It doesn't shut down and stays on displaying “pve login:”.
I then have to restart the server, which restores the situation... for about an hour.
Do you have a solution to this problem?

Hi!

Ich habe einen Proxmox auf einem NUC laufen. Als Platten sind dort zwei Samsung M.2 SSD 990 PRO Heatsink 4TD als ZFS RAID-1 installiert.

Es laufen dort einige LXC-Container:

- Traefik
- piHole
- Nextcloud
- PaperlessNGX

Darüber hinaus sind noch ca. 10 LXC installiert, werden aber nur nach Bedarf gestartet.

Es läuft eine Windows 10 Workstation als KVM

Alle Guests haben keine signifikante I/O-Last auf den Platten, dennoch wurde auf den Platten mehr geschrieben, als gelesen.

Moin zusammen,

bei mir läuft Proxmox auf einem HP T620 ThinClient. Aktuell Homeassistant, Raspberry Matic und ein paar andere nur sporadisch genutzte VMs und seit neustem OMV. Am OMV hängt nun eine 2TB Externe SSD. Das vorerst mehr zum Test und nicht als dauerhafte Lösung. Nun frage ich mich jedoch, taugt mein kleiner HP T620 ThinClient als NAS? Gerne würde ich eine Variante mit zwei gespiegelten HDD Platten realisieren, gibt es da Gehäuse für HDDs die man sinnvollerweise an den ThinClient...

Dear Proxmox Developer Team,

Thank you very much for implementing Virtiofs in Proxmox VE 8.4 – a fantastic feature! However, I regret that mountpoints (e.g., via Virtiofs or mp) are not migratable, even though the underlying local folders of these "directories" reside on PVE-cluster-wide managed mounts (like NFS storage backends).

Have I overlooked something, or are there fundamental reasons against this, such as on the OS side within the QEMU VM (Linux/Windows)?

Having a heck of a time with a RAM upgrade messing up my Proxmox machine. Here are the hard facts:



Mobo: Supermicro X11DPL-i

RAM we are installing: M386AAK40B40-CWD6Q - 128GB x 8 = 1024 GB

RAM we are removing: M393A4K40BB2-CTD7Q - 32GB x 8 = 256 GB

Proxmox Version: 8.3.5



Symptoms:

On our old RAM (250 GB), we see IO delay on the server at 0.43%. With the new RAM installed (1 TB), we see IO delay at 10-15%, and it spikes to 40-50% regularly.

ich bin vor Kurzem von meinem Raspberry Pi 4 mit Home Assistant auf einen HP 600 G4 mit i5-Prozessor und 16 GB RAM umgestiegen. Home Assistant läuft bereits soweit stabil, und das Durchreichen des Zigbee-Sticks sowie von Bluetooth hat auch schon funktioniert.


Nun würde ich gerne zusätzlich Plex einrichten und dafür sowohl die interne SSD als auch eine externe Festplatte über USB 3.0 einbinden.

Hello,

I'm running a Ubuntu Virtual Machine on a Proxmox node and have been having experiences some strange behaviours when using multiple NICs with different VLANS.
When loading a website it will take 5-11s to load even though the server is locally hosted running nginx. It appears the time taken is related to TCP? I'm not sure what this means.
Another symptom is when connecting to the SSH it will also take a similar time 5-11s to establish a connection.
Strangely this behaviour only occurs...

I've been trying to get PBS to use a S3 bucket for the past month or so. Most of the time, it works fine but randomly different .chunks dirs go missing and then backups get corrupted.

I assume this isn't an issue with proxmox itself, but moreso with rclone and not being able to write/read the S3 bucket.

Has anyone been successful in using S3 with PBS? I use S3 for full backups outside of PBS because it's one file and it works great. But, since PBS uses many different small chunk...

I have a cluster of two hosts 8.4 pve-1 and pve-2 to which I have added a qdevice on an rpi. The following is the status from both nodes and wanted to know if this is normal or if there is an issue with the config on pve-2 which shows the following for the qdevice:
