Updates failing after 8.3 Upgrade

Upgraded to 8.3 the other day and now when I go to update via GUI or shell I am getting the following error output.
starting apt-get update

Impossible to load ISO images via GUI

Hi, I have ProxMox updated to today on a cluster with 3 nodes.
I can no longer upload any ISO images to local >> ISO images. It hangs at 0% forever without giving an error.
It had never happened to me before.
I specify that the disk is empty so it is not a space problem.
What could have happened?

Proxmox 8.3 gets hung after few hours

I've installed Proxmox 8.3 on a barebones PC I have. After about 4-6 hours of just letting it run the PC would freeze or get hung and the PC is not responsive forcing me to reboot manually. I've had this PC for about 6 years or more running WIN10 with no freezing issues. I took the PC to my local shop to have hardware checked and everything came back working fine. They installed an older version of Proxmox VE (8.0.3) and the PC ran all weekend no issues. Once I got it back home and ran apt...

Install Virtio-Io fail on Server 2019

HI,

we have a couple of server migrate from Hyper-v to prox with veeam.
On ervery we can install latest virtio-io
But on one we get this error.
If I install only one such ballon this works, but I cannot instlal more i cann ony repair or uninstall

Does any have an idea?

copy / paste on Virtual Environment 8.3.5

I tried everything I found on internet to copy something from my computer and paste in virtual machine or inversely.

I couldn't get it to work, with web console or SMICE.



Is it working? Is there a tutorial some here?

Taking 40min to create a VM...

So, as the title says, its taking 40min to create a VM and I can't figure out for the life of me why this is happening... I attached an image with all the settings I'm using to create the VM... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  • There is no hardware raid
  • VM OS Ubuntu 24.04

System Specs:
PowerEdge R730xd:​
2 Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2683 v4 @ 2.10GHz​
256GB DDR4 2400MHz PC4-2400T ECC​

Hetzner Storage Box as datastore

Hello Proxmox Community,

As my offsite backup solution, I decided to go for a Hetzner Storage Box and mount it on my old Intel NUC.
I've used Rclone for it, create a systemd for it to auto mount it.
I also tried using CIFs for it with the same result.
I can see the .chunks and .lock directoy and file, and I can create files and folders from the terminal.

I'm running version 3.3.3 on my PBS server right now.

But when I access it in the WebUI it says Datastore is not...

I got a little problem with syncing my backups to a bigger local datastore.
Source is a 3-disk ZFS, target is a 5-disk ZFS - both are on the same machine.

"proxmox-backup-client benchmark" delivers the following numbers:

I have 8.3.5 proxmox. After latest update I have under loop, every 2-5 seconds, receiving next message for all cluster nodes:

Hi There

I hope you are well.

We are migrating our PMG instance to a new virtual server by means of a new install and a backup restore.

I just want to find out if there is any way that we can move the Spam / Quarantined Items over as well? Our system keeps quarantined items for 30days.

Our system is on version 8.2.1

Any advice will be appreciated.

https://forum.proxmox.com/threads/tape-verification.138552/ und auch im Bugzilla eine entsprechende Anfrage gestellt
https://bugzilla.proxmox.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5144

Ich würde gerne wissen, ob es hierzu schon etwas Neues gibt. Oder ist diese Funktionalität beim BackupToTape Prozess vom ProxMoxBackup nicht erforderlich? Von anderen Backupprogrammen kenn ich das auch so , dass geschriebene Daten auf dem Band anschließend...

Hallo alle
Zuerst zu meinem System: Proxmox 8.2.7 lief bei mir auf einem Fujitsu Esprimo Q520 mit 1000GB SSD.
Ich habe dort zwei VMs eingerichtet.
Letzte Woche habe ich Proxmox upgedatet auf die aktuelle Version.
Das hat auch erstmal problemlos geklappt und meine VMs liefen weiter.
3 Tage später war auf einmal Proxmox selbst aber auch die VMs weder ueber deren Webinterface noch ueber SSH erreichbar. Also ob jemand den Netzwerk-Stecker aus dem Esprimo gerupft haette.
Ein Reset des Esprimo...

As someone who frequently experiments with bleeding-edge software, I recently encountered an issue that might be helpful to share.


After upgrading to the latest versions of both lxc-pve and AppArmor, I noticed a conflict that prevented my container from starting properly. It appears there's an incompatibility between the newest lxc-pve package and the testing AppArmor release.


Fortunately, downgrading lxc-pve to version 5.0.2-4...
