PVE Host reboot, weil ?

Ich habe hier einen Cluster aus 3 Nodes mit Ceph. Gestern hat der eine Node wegen irgend welcher Cluster- und/oder Ceph-Probleme gebootet. Ich bin aber nicht in der Lage das Log zu interpretieren um die Ursache zu ermitteln. Was war die Ursache? Der Länge wegen ist das Log im Anhang. Nach dem was in der Datei steht wurde direkt der Reboot ausgelöst.

High Memory During Backup

Hello, I'm fairly new to proxmox and running into some trouble with backups. I configured a VM backup job writing to an NFS share with mostly default options (Snapshot, ZSTD compression). Within a minute or two of starting, the system and all VM's became unresponsive. After rebooting I tried again while watching system resources. Relay access denied

Hello.

Tried really everything but when i use a smarthost to route out email to the pmg for filtering, the pmg rejects the email with a RELAY ACCESS DENIED error.

- I added the ip to the networks list
- I point the smarthost to port 25
- Checked the postfix config if ip is whitelisted

Safari Only - PVE 8.2.4 - NoVNC Console Error

Hi, something changed either in PVE 8.2.4 or Safari got today an Update.
ISSUE: NoVNC Console doesn't work! xTerm Console works without issues.

-> Firefox: no Issues
-> Edge: no Issues
-> Chrome: Didnt tested, sorry
-> Safari: Doesn't work since Today.

I have like 8 PVE Servers and as Stupid as i am, i updated them all to 8.2.4 (Kernel 6.8.8) 2 days ago and yesterday. So i don't even have any Server left with PVE 8.2.2....

Greetings fellow Proxmox Users,

I had added a post to a previously made thread on this same topic, though I have since deleted that post to create a fresh thread here.

In short, I believe that I am at the final steps to pass through my AMD GPU into a Win10 VM. My end goal for this VM will be primarily Steam Gaming, so I am open to using Win10 or Win11 as you all might suggest.

Problem with worker VM start initiated by Veeam on PVE

Hi,

I'm struggling with a problem regarding backups of Proxmox VE using Veeam Backup & Replication Community Edition for a few months now. Actually, the problem seems to be related to the start of the Veeam-Worker VM initiated by the Veeam Backup & Replication solution.
I believe the problem may have started after upgrading Proxmox VE from 8.2 to 8.3, but I'm not entirely sure as the problem isn't permanently there.

Ich versuche nun seit Stunden in Immich unter einer Ubuntu-VM eine externe Bibliothek von meinem NAS zu integrieren. Vielleicht finde ich ja hier den Denkanstoß um es endlich zu schaffen.

Was ich bisher habe:
- Ubuntu VM 24.10 mit Immich in einem Docker, läuft und ich kann auch Bilder hinzufügen
- Ubuntu hat Zugriff auf das Nas per NFS Freigabe und ist gemountet mit /mnt/photo
- ich sehe auch im Ubuntu Terminal den Inhalt mit ls -la /mnt/photo

ich experimentiere gerade mit dem Gedanken einen 2 Node HA Cluster ohne QDevice zu erstellen.

Warum mache ich das?

Ich möchte eine Ausfallsicherheit meines Produktiv-Node sicherstellen.
Ich nutze einen Produktiv-Node (PN) und einen Backup-Node (BN), auf dem PN laufen meine VMs und erfüllen Ihre Arbeit.
Der BN repliziert die VMs und dient nur als Backup und übernimmt im Falle das der PN ausfällt die Arbeit.
Aber wie soll ich das ohne ein QDevice oder 3. Node machen?

Proxmox Dell R550 - megaraid disk id changes after hotswap of failed drive.

I'm testing hardware raid in Proxmox and I did a swap of a failed drive. Dell R550 with 2 ssd (ID 0-1) in BOSS 2 card and 6 SAS drives (ID 0-7) on H745 in RAID10.

Using smartctl --scan I was able to see the original disk list by controller channel and slot. Failed drive was channel 0 disk 3 with new drive, in same slot. We want to assemble the following virtualization scheme.

Intel N150 GPU passthrough

I recently bought a Beelink mini pc EQ14 with Intel N150 CPU.
I joined this mini pc in my 2 node cluster (with a qdevice as witness) and i want to move some VM there.
one of this VM is a debian 12.8 with plex media server and a GPU for hw transcode.

When I tried converting the vhd file to qcow2 format with qemu-img and adding it to Proxmox as a disk, I could not boot the relevant disk. The disk cannot be booted.

Ich versuche gerade jellyfin in proxmox mit hardware transcoding zum laufen zu bringen, das ganzen mit der neuen passthrough funktion wie im bild unten zu sehen. Das passthrough funktioniert die ausgabe von im lxc ist:

No NIC connection with Asus NUC14MNK

Hi friends,

I'm new to proxmox and I'm going to make my first install and have some serious problems. On this NUC there is a RTL 8125 Chip. In the installation I don't see an eth0 or so only the wifi module. Actually I spend 3 days to get a connection without any result. No wifi and no ethernet. Can someone help me out? Or should I throw this NUC away and buy other one? Thank you

My woes with my HP Microserver Gen8 continue (here's my previous thread, now thankfully solved... mostly), as I'm now getting terrible performance with backups.

I'm restoring backups to lvm-data that's located on a 7200rpm HDD. The SATA controller is this:

Problem with the VNet Firewall

Hello Everyone,

i currently want to try out the SDN Feature and the complimentary VNet Firewall
whilst the SDN seems to be working perfectly the VNet Firewall doesnt block

The specific problem I encounter is that I have 2 SDN VNets defined: VMNet and mgmNet
I want to be able to manage the VMs in the VMNet VNet via the mgmNet, but the traffic to mgmNet must be blocked.

Well I am able to ping my VM in the mgmNet from my VMNet LXC

I am relatively new to Proxmox. I had Ceph installed and fully configured and for learning purposes i tried removing it. I removed the Ceph install and rebuilt the whole Ceph setup. I have all the nodes online, but i can't create an OSD. The drives are wiped.

The shift key does not work. Unable to use special characters within console but works when SSH is used.

Hi all,

I have 2 servers. Each have (1) 4 port NIC.

Currently running Opnsense on one of the servers with a fairly basic setup. Port 4 of this server connects to switch for VE management of other VMs on this server, port 3 not currently used except for local direct connection to Opnsense, port 2 is WAN and port 1 is LAN connected to uplink of switch.
