need to break up proxmox 3.3-1 2 nodes cluster into two stand alone promox nodes

I need to break up (proxmox 3.3-1) 2 nodes cluster into two stand alone proxmox nodes. I want to retain all the vm's on both nodes.

I have node1 and node2. Node1 is master node.

from master node1 I issued - pvecm delnode node2. I removed ssh keys as well. I rebooted master node but the gui doesn't work properly. I can't connect to console of the vm's.

Can't find any good documentation on how to break up cluster into two stand alone nodes. Any help is appreciated.
