Hello,

we've got 3 Dell PowerEdge R6615 with an AMD Epyc 9174F in it and the fans are doing something weird. Most of the time they are at 8-9k RPM and fairly quiet. But every minute or 2 they are revving up to full speed (~ 24k) or half speed (~ 13k) and then back down.
There is almost no load on this system (we're in the evaluating steps rn), just proxmox + ceph and 3 CTs idling.

Im looking at the temps via IPMI and the CPU temp is around 50 to 55°C, but they dont seem connected...

Background: I am a relative networking novice and what I have learned has been mostly by accident and preceded the advent of useful AI's so is quite cobbled together. I have somehow managed to set up what I believe to be a relatively secure network and am trying to be prudent about how I add ProxMox to the mix. I have it installed on the management network now, but am not willing to add more VM's until I can find a more secure way of proceeding.

Hi

All my vms on a proxmox server appear wih the orange triangle IO error and are frozen.
It seems that my vms could not access to their harddrive.

At the proxmox boot I have the following message

We have a new tape ML3 library and we want data that are network shared through SMB to be backed up on tape. The typical back up management suites with the library are a disaster. So i was exploring using PBS with it.

I use a Synology NFS mount on 4 Promox clients, 3 of them have a HP 640sfp28 network card, which is a Mellanox ConnectX4-LX Card.
On the 4th client I can use the NFS mount without any problem, on the 3 others I can asses the mount and see the files that are on there.

I am considering using Proxmox VE to provide redundancy and failover for a set of services I am running in a remote field installation.

One of my PVE nodes has been installed some years ago and even though it has always upgraded it to the newest PVE version (currently 8.4.3), one thing has been bothering me for a while.

ich würde gerne das Logical Volume pve-data auf 60 GB vergößern.
Wäre nett, wenn jemand dazu was sagen könnte, damit es nicht kracht.

Reicht es aus, folgende zwei Befehle auszuführen?

(I have changed from Untangle to Ubiquity - and as part of that, I want to be more VLAN-aware, etc. but I haven't got that far yet.)

- old DHCP range: 10.100.100.100.222 ---- 10.100.100.225

Hallo zusammen,

mein Proxmox Server lief jetzt Jahre ohne nennenswerte Probleme.
Plötzlich waren die Container, GUI etc. über Netz nicht mehr erreichbar.
Rechner am Monitor, Tastatur angeschlossen und gestartet.
Startet ohne nennenswerte Fehler bis zur Eingabe hoch:



Mach ich von meinem iMac ein Ping im Startvorgang des Proxmox Servers, ist er kurz nach diesem Screenshot erreichbar und dann plötzlich nicht mehr.



Jemand eine Idee was ich machen könnte?

Hello,
I am using Proxmox Backup server since 2 weeks.
I configured a Verification Job and it takes a lot of time to complete.
I have daily backups of disks 2 disks of 150GB and other 6 disks of 70GB.
For each disk I keep 7 copies.
I noticed that the Verification Job verifies all the backups and not only the last backup of each disk.
So I am wondering what are the meaning of the parameters :

Max Depth
Skip Verified
Re-Verify After

I wish that the job verifies only the last backup...

Es werden under Virus Detector obwohl überall gleiche Datenbanken auf der Shell hinterlegt sind immer verschiedene um Web-Interface angezeigt.
Ich nehme an das das Problem einmal mit Fehlern bei der händischen installation oder bei Update zustande gekommen ist.

I want to give SeaBIOS as bios in my guest OS in Qemu. When I do the same for Linux, there is no problem. However, when I try to wake up a Windows machine with the same BIOS, I get a blue screen error. Error Code: 0xc0000225 as follows.

Hello,
I am using Proxmox Backup Server.
I am wondering how "Verification Job" works.
I let it start at 23.30 and next day in the morning at 10.00 it is still running.
It should check 8 disks total of 800GB.
What can I monitor or do to spped up this process ?
Garbage Collection instead starts at 24.00 and find also this one running in the morning at 10.00 ?
Very slow.
What can I do ?

Hi Everyone



I'm using 8.2.7 version on the my desktop pc and it has 1 NIC



Problem is that, especially during daily backup to Backup server (on another device), i see this logs on my PVE. Also yesterday i connected to virtual WİN10 pc via guacomole (from outside) connection lost a few times and Host computer was unaccessible. I had to turn off and turn on again PVE host. Hi, I know this is kind of a long shot. But does anyone know when support for the rx 9070xt would come? I did compile the 6.13 kernel and got the linux firmware but it can't be passed through.

This is pretty low priority I would imagine. But heads up would be appreciated.
