I am new to Proxmox. When I was testing I setup a zfs pool, but later wanted to remove it as I wanted to change the ashift value and zpool name.
I couldn't work out how to do it and was impatient, so I just deleted the partitions via CLI and rebooted. Thankfully, I now know the correct way of removing storage from Proxmox.
The problem is that now I have a systemd service that is still trying to import the name of the old zfs pool that no longer exists anywhere. It was called "tank" and was...

I have a data center with three nodes and identical machines:
CPU:Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor -
RAM: 128GB RAM ECC
MB: ASROCK X570D4U-2L2T

Hello,
I just installed a new node (v8.3.4) and added it to my Proxmox cluster (nodes running v8.2.7), but for some reason, it is not able to connect to my external Ceph cluster; the two storage drives I have just show with grey question marks on them, and nothing I have done will allow it to connect. I have the networking and MTUs set identically to my other two hosts.

ich habe im Moment zwei Server mit Hyper-V, die mit Proxmox laufen sollen. Einen dritten baugleichen Server habe ich. Ist es machbar, den freien als Teil eines Clusters inkl Ceph Dateisystem zu erstellen, die VMs von einem Hyper-V Server zu migrieren und diesen Hyper-V Server dann zu dem Cluster hinzu zu fügen? Das würde ich dann auch mit dem zweiten Hyper-V machen wollen oder müssen zur Einrichtung alle drei oder mindestens zwei zur verfügung stehen?

Wir haben eine VM mit Samba, die mehrere btrfs Volumen hat.
Eines der Volumen ist auf drei Virtuelle-Platten verteilt.
Beim File-Restore wird das Verbunde Volumen nicht eingelesen, die Platten sind jedoch sichtbar, alle anderen Daten können wiederhergestellt werden.

Beim Restore der gesamten VM startet diese ohne Fehler und es sind alle Daten vorhanden.
In der Logdatei: /var/log/proxmox-backup/file-restore/ qemu.log ist zu sehen das beim Einlesen der Disks nach der uuid gesucht...

Does anyone have experience with GPU passthrough on the Asus WRX80 board and an AMD 7900 XTX GPU?
I've worked through many tutorials, but I can't get the graphics card to pass through.
As soon as I add the PCI, the VM reboots or crashes.
I'd also like to add a Focusrite audio interface for audio recording via a USB-C connection.
What information would you need to help me?

Hello all,
So I was testing the new fleece function in my home lab.
During a backup operation of a large VM, I was forced to hit "stop" in the middle of the backup job because the VM itself was performing some un-anticipated write operations that were ultimately going to fill up the storage before the backup job could finish.
The backup job terminated, but left the fleece files in place and they are consuming significant disk capacity. I can see them under local-lvm -> vm Disks tab, but...

This might be an easy task for all of you Linux users but...
When you logon to the Proxmox web gui I always have to use root.
I want to use another user to do everything that root can do in the gui.
I can figure out the shell commands i need to use to do that.

-Netzlaufwerk für Homeoffice
Ich habe seit ca. 6 Monaten einen Lenovo M710q mit Proxmox im Einsatz, auf dem einige Container (IO-Broker, Influx, etc.) laufen.

I have a simple home lab setup with two nodes: node-a with LVM and node-b with ZFS. I am trying to find the way to move disks and VMs from the node running LVM to the second one with ZFS, so I can re-create node-a with ZFS as well. I can't find any options in GUI or documentation for the command line. Am I missing something? Is this even possible?

On MacOS VM, the VM just gets killed shortly after booting up and showing the Apple logo. On the Windows VM, it actually works and boots fine..... until I install the AMD drivers, which then cause the entire host computer to lock...

Hi, I a have setup an NFS Share on my TrueNAS server and am trying to mount it in my proxmox host (node). I can't seem to get proxmox to mount the NFS as any user other than root.
My TrueNAS NFS share is configured with ACL permissions to allow specific user/group with assigned UID. I tried creating a new user in proxmox with the same UID as TrueNAS and specifying the mount with that user but still get denied due to permissions. Node0 und Node1 bilden Zusammen einen Cluster.
Node2 ist aus dem Cluster entfernt und frisch mit PVE installiert
Bei einem Umzug des Clusters vor einiger Zeit scheint etwas schief gelaufen zu sein. Seit dem funktionierte der Cluster ansich normal weiter. Allerdings konnte man im Webinterface nicht mehr auf die jeweils anderen Knoten zugreifen.

I have a home lab cluster with 3 PVE nodes running Proxmox 8.3.3 with Ceph 19.2.0. One of the nodes blew out its OS drive and now it won't boot. I've ordered new drives (WD Red) and need to start with rebuilding the lost node. I'd like to build it back "in place" - e.g. same name, IP, etc. instead of calling it pve-04 and perpetually having a skip in my naming scheme forever.

Hello,
we like to integrate our Fibre Channel San to Proxmox.
We already did this successfully with LVM, but there we cannot make Live Snapshots.
But is there maybe a way to make it happen with a GlusterFS Volume to Connect 4 Nodes with a shared Filesystem to the Fibre Channel SAN?
The San also Supports ISCSI, but this does not bring anything because it has no ZFS Support.
