Mount-Problem nach Update auf 8.3.1

Nabend! Vielleicht kann mir jemand helfen, bevor meine Frau mich tötet! :eek::rolleyes:

Seit dem Update auf 8.3.1 ist unsere Nextcloud mit ihren Dokumenten nicht mehr erreichbar.
Bzw. konnte Proxmox nach dem Update erst gar nicht mehr booten.
Nach dem löschen dieser Zeile aus der fstab konnte normal hochgefahren werden:

/dev/sda1 /media/disk ext4 uid=1005,gid=1005 0 1

Nur hat damit die Nextcloud ihr medium verloren.
Wenn ich diese Zeile wieder eintrage und das ganze vor einem...

Guten Morgen zusammen,

ich bin absoluter Neuling in dem Thema und hoffe, dass ich mein Problem richtig beschreiben kann.
Ich habe ein Hyper-V Image, welches ich auf Proxmox umstellen möchte.

Ich habe mir einen "alten" Rechner von mir genommen und Proxmox installiert.
Der Rechner hat zwei Festplatten. Eine SSD und eine NVMe. Auf die SSD habe ich Proxmox installiert.

Da ich gerne ein Cluster aufbauen möchte, habe ich nach Anleitung einen ZFS Speicher mit der NVMe-Festplatte angelegt...

Not able to locate my L40S NVIDIA Graphic card in R760 dell server in ls pci list. what could be the reasons ?

I have installed NVIDIA driver also with the latest compatible version of it. still not able to list it in pci list. All the gpu connection are made properly. nvidia-smi showing nothing.
pve-manager/8.1.10/ (running kernel: 6.8.4-3-pve). suggest compatible configuration for detecting the gpu.

Issue with default Grub booting option

I have been scratching my head on this one for a while, basically due to GPU pass-through and certain modules white/black listed as a grub option I needed to tweak the /etc/defaults/grub

The thing *works” as expected, but I'm unable to have grub selecting the first menu reference, it always defaults to the second (Advanced) and this doesn't use the custom grub config I set up so the box crashes and I need to manually be present at the console to select the right grub option at each reboot...

PDM on debian

HI, I have two PDM installed (different clusters). One PDM is from PDM iso - work perfectly, byt second was installed on Debian configured. And I have som problems with getting data to this PDM. When I have version 0.1.8 only som outages was in graphs, but after update to 0.1.9 I getting data only from one PVE (there is 6 PVE in cluster).

Monitoring cluster resources

I have a proxmox cluster with 3 nodes and I am wondering if I can use PRTG software to monitor
the cluster resources as disks, network and VMs to prenvent failure ?
I mean, PRTG can use snmp, proxmox supports snmp or something else so I can monitor cluster resources ?

Hello,
I have recently been trying to setup an OpenID realm in ProxmoxVE. I have followed the official documentation by Authentik and tried a YouTube tutorial for it.
No matter what I am trying, I always get the same error when trying to login using OpenID into Proxmox."OpenID redirect failed.Request failed (500)" I have searched through every forum/reddit post I could find about Proxmox and OpenID.

When I go to my issuer ID, it redirects to the URL + "well-known/openid-configuration"...

Hi,

I plan to build a new proxmox ceph cluster (3 nodes).

LACP 2x25 Gbps for ceph
LACP 2x10 Gbps for VMs

My question is related to the switches, I want mlag switches indeed.

Mikrotik was my first choice due to functionalities and low budget as well.
I have 2 CRS310 and have settled a very simple architecture (1 proxmox with one lacp bond and 2 CRS310 in mlag mode).

Unknown VEN_1AF4&DEV_1057 device

Hi all, I am stuck with an unknown PCI device VEN_1AF4&DEV_1057 in my Windows 11 VM, can someone tell me what is it and how to fix the missing driver issue?

I noticed it after a migration from Windows 10 to 11, I did those steps without success:
- added virtio 0.1.266 disk and did "repair" install for both virtio drivers and qemu guest

The VM also run at 100% CPU all time but dunno if related to this issue.

Opt-in Linux 6.11 Kernel for Proxmox VE 8 available on test & no-subscription

We recently uploaded a 6.11 kernel into our repositories. The current 6.8 kernel will stay the default on the Proxmox VE 8 series, the newly introduced 6.11 kernel is an option.
The 6.11 based kernel may be useful for some (especially newer) setups, for example if there is improved hardware support that has not yet been backported to 6.8.
This follows our tradition of upgrading the Proxmox VE kernel to match the current Ubuntu version until we reach an (Ubuntu) LTS release, like the 6.8...

I decided to set up a server running Debian 12 to host my own Minecraft server. I’m using a virtual machine on Proxmox, hosted on a Dell PowerEdge R510.

Win Srv 2022 Guest does not properly shut down during backup.

I have a monthly backup of all VMs in my homelab. The backup works but every month one particular VM (Windows Server 2022, 128G Drive C, 4T Drive D, 16G RAM) hangs during the restart process and remains in a hung state.

In Task viewer I have the following error:

Moin Forum,
ich habe zwei Proxmox VE 8.3.3 in einem Cluster (und einen proxmox Backu-Serve,r der für meine Frage vermutlich verachlässigbar ist).
Beide PVE-Server verfügen über ausreichend lokalen Storage und ich möchte eine Replikation aller VMs von VE01 auf PV02 einrichten.

Für die Backup-EInstellungen auf den Beim Backup-Server konte ich "all vms" anhaken und der cronjob kümmert sich seither um ein tägliches sichern aller VMs-

I added a PCI wireless network card pass through on the virtual machine installed in PVE. After adding it, the virtual machine cannot start and the error message is“

Hallo zusammen,

Ich nutze die aktuelle PVE-Version und habe eine VM von Open Media Vault installiert und dort eine NVME (WD RED 700, 2 Gbyte) an OMV durchgereicht und dort mit ext4 formatiert.

Ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich damals, als ich die NVMe frisch installiert hatte, über eine NFS-Freigabe (Freigabe über Mount und durchreichen an den LXC) eine Leseleitung von über 400 Mbyte hatte.

Jetzt habe ich die Container etc. in neu verteilt und über die 2 NICs im VLAN gepackt. HAbe dann...

shell not working error 400

Hi
im running Proxmox backup server
after installing and change the ip address and the user(gave admin permission) of pbs everything work a part of the sheel
when i click on the shell menu i have connection fail error 400
From the proxmox i can connect to pbs with root user but not with the new admin user created
basically when i login with the real Proxmox Backup authentication server i cannot connect to the shell
but when i login with Linux PAM standard authentication with root i can...

Guidance on hardening/disabling SSH

I'm currently hardening my environment, and my current task is SSH. Looking at my single VE node, I see that SSH is enabled. After a quick search, it seems SSH may be required for VE operations. I use only the web interface, I never SSH into VE. VE is not in a cluster, although that could change in the future.

I'd prefer a definitive answer on this one: Will disabling SSH break anything?

I could configure the firewall or just configure SSH keys like all my other hosts. But, of...

Mein alter Server hat den Geist aufgegeben und nachdem ich in den vergangen Jahren verschiedene Lösungen für meinen Sever zusammen gebastelt hatte, nutze ich den Storage Controller Ausfall, um alles mal aufzuräumen.
