missing all VMs' located on ZFS (local HDD) storage

Good day,
I am a new Proxmox user.
I installed it for testing on an HP Z420 box.

configuration relevant to the problem:
2 x SD disk 120GB
2 x HDD disks 1TG

Proxmox installed on a created RAID of 120GB SSD disks - no problem with that

What is important is DATASTOR.

2 x 1TB in RAID and ZFS pool
It mapped nicely in the datacenter.
I created 3 VMs and everything worked. VMs installed on HDD-Storage (on this ZFS)
I turned off the virtual machines for the night.

Greetings to the community, I have a limiting problem with Proxmox. It's not earth shattering but I'd like to fix it if possible.
Has anyone successfully run Proxmox with 13th gen Intel hybrid architecture and E-cores enabled?
Are there any known workarounds besides disabling E-cores?
Is this a known issue being tracked for future releases?

Note: I understand this will require a support subscription for official support, but I'm hoping the community might have insights or similar...

Hallo Zusammen

Ich bin masslos überfordert, vieleicht habt ihr mir noch Ansätze.

Das Problem: Der Proxmox Server startet einfach neu bei der Load Initial Ram Disk. Der Fehler kam aus dem nichts ich habe nichts gemacht gestern, ausser ein paar Festplatten auf einem Container gemounted. Was sein könnte ist dass ich einen Stromausfall hatte.

Wenn ich nomodeset mache, zeigt er was an aber sehe nichts, weil er zu schnell ausschaltet. BIOS habe ich druchforstet ob ich irgendwie einstellen...

Hi, I recently got ahold of a second server that I have put PVE on, which I also plan to run PBS on. (PBS isn't relevant in this case but I will talk about it as the vm, but long story short, I did not want to run PBS baremetal because I would be wasting potential hardware if I just ran pbs)
Said server in question is a Dell Poweredge R720 with 2.5 drive bays, all filled
The current disk configuration is 8X 240.06 GB SSD's, and another 8X 960.20 SSD's.

Setup Proxmox HA for VMs with databases

Hello,
I am going to setup a PROMOX HA environment with 3 servers.
I am not sure which kind of storage to use to better support 3 requirements.
I have a lot of VMs with db (postgresql and mysql ) . I will have a lot of VM machines running on one using DB .
I need to satisfy these 3 requirements:
1) minimal downtime
If the node crashes all the VMs on that node will be rebooted on another node with downtime close to zero

2) minimal of data loss
If node crashes, the VMs will reboot...

I am trying to automate creation of my Ubuntu VM in Proxmox using Ansible, proxmoxer, and cloudinit.

I've seen (old) tutorial videos download the Ubuntu cloudinit IMG file to the /var/lib/vz/images path and then successfully use the image file by using the volume name import-from=local:images/noble-server-cloudimg-amd64.img to initialize the attached hard drive. Email notifications sending to root@pam

But the emails keep going to root@pam but also the email that was configured for this root account...

How to restore a deleted backup

Good morning, dear friends.
I tried to restore a backup and instead of clicking the Restore button, I clicked the Remove button. I suggest that developers change the name to DELETE.
My question is, can I recover a backup that was deleted from PBS?

I have several Windows 11 VMs running on Proxmox 8.2.4. However, when I go to Snapshots management, I see "The current guest configuration does not support taking new snapshots".

I use the following settings:
BIOS: OVMF (UEFI)
Machine: q35-9.0
HDD (SCSI): QCOW2, cache=writeback, discard=on, iothread=1, size=164G
EFI disk and TPM enabled
QEMU Guest Agent enabled
Windows 11/2022/2025

Is there a specific setting that I should (not) have to be able to take snapshots? Or has this...

Disk Raid5 and Raid1 not recognize

Hello,
I have a problem to install proxmox on raid5 or raid1 equipment. Configuration drive raid5 et raid1 are not recognise.

Actual Situation :
I have one poweredge server r720 with raid perc H310 Adapter. I put inside 5 drives 8to for raid5 and 2 drives 1to for raid1 and also 2 ssd hard drive.
Raid5 et raid1 are correctly recognise by the hardware bios.
I tryed to install proxmox on the raid1 hard drive but this hard drive raid1 is not recognise and also the hard drive raid5...

Ich habe Proxmox aufgesetzt und verschiedene VMs und Container installiert. Vor allem wollte ich eine gute Basis für HA schaffen.

No vga output post systemd-boot using 6.8.12-4-pve kernel, 6.2.16-20-pve works

Hi everyone - I recently upgraded to 8.3.0. When using the 6.2.16-20-pve kernel, I get vga output. However, when using 6.8.12-4-pve kernel, I get no vga output. I'm using basic framebuffer-style console. I have a Ryzen based system, which doen't have integrated graphics - so using the ASRock rack m2_vga adapter: https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=M2_VGA

Does anyone have any ideas about why this isn't working, and what I could try?

License management

I know that I can buy community support , basic support , standard support or premium support.
Each of these are annual and means that I receive a license.
I wish to know if I buy support for a server A with 2 physical cpus and in the middle of the year I change this server
with another one (server B) that can be the same or different model, maybe I need new license.
Proxmox will provide me the new license replacing the old one without paying or what happens ?

This is a vm server with one node running a couple servers and some dedicated vms for some websites, but i lost the ability to access the gui about 3 to 4 months ago. it seems to be a connection so I have tried changing my static IP, flushing my IP and dns multiple times. attached are the results of an IP a, nano /etc/network/interfaces, and a ping. when i flushed my IP and then try to bring it back up it will give "either "local" is a copy or vmbr0 is garbage" error so I don't really know...

I'm trying to create a 172.16.0.0/16 subnet from the 172.16.0.0/12 address space. I have created in phpIPAM the 16 zones, 16.172.in-addr.arpa. through 31.172.in-addr.arpa already.

But when I'm trying to create the subnet in Proxmox, it reurns:

create sdn subnet object failed: can't read zone 16-31.172.in-addr.arpa.: Invalid response from server: 404 Not Found (500)

Although I'm using only the 16.172.in-addr.arpa zone. So I tried to create a zone named 16-31.172.in-addr.arpa...

VirtIO Update schlägt fehl

Hallo,

ich versuche auf VirTIO 0.1.262 zu aktualisieren. Aktuell ist 0.1.229 installiert.

Dies schlägt fehl mit Fehler 0x80070643. Log im Anhang.

Es handelt sich um einen deutschen Windows Server 2019 Standard, der domainjoined ist.
Ich habe ihn mal testweise aus der Domäne entfernt und 2x neu gestartet, der Fehler bleibt.

Maschinentyp pc-q35-8.1

I have managed to add Tintri 5.6.0 release using NFS 4.1 and able to have live VMs on it but the status is shown as such
