Hi,

Hallo Zusammen,

Error backing up LXC container

Hi,

I do have a problem with a newly created LXC container when backing up to my NAS.

I do get the error:

Code:

Setting HTTPS headers

HI all,

proxmox has been pulled up on our internal pen test for not having security headers set on the web interface. making the application vulnerable to clickjacking.

Proxmox can't connect to non-sub repo, waiting for headers

Hello,
I've just set up proxmox on my old pc, however it refuses to connect to download.proxmox.com or any other mirror I try, I have tried running apt update numerous times, however it just hangs on "Waiting for headers". Commenting out the non-sub repo in my repo sources allows me to update debian packages, so I don't know if it's got anything to do with my networking and/or DNS, but pveam update does not work as well due to the bugged proxmox repo. I can ping download.proxmox.com as well...

No vga output post systemd-boot using 6.8.12-4-pve kernel, 6.2.16-20-pve works

Hi everyone - I recently upgraded to 8.3.0. When using the 6.2.16-20-pve kernel, I get vga output. However, when using 6.8.12-4-pve kernel, I get no vga output. I'm using basic framebuffer-style console. I have a Ryzen based system, which doen't have integrated graphics - so using the ASRock rack m2_vga adapter: https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=M2_VGA

Does anyone have any ideas about why this isn't working, and what I could try?

Corrupted qcow2 images

We use Proxmox Backup Server and Client v3.3.1 to backup our KVM guests. These use qcow2 for the disks with ext4 as file system.

To ensure that the backed up images are valid, the backed up disks are mounted via proxmox-backup-client map after uploading to the Proxmox Backup Server and checked with qemu-img check.

We have now noticed that some of the uploaded disk-images are corrupt:

Code:
qemu-img: Could not open '/dev/loop0': Could not read L1 table: Input/output error

Quick HOWTO on setting up iSCSI Multipath

Hi Everyone,

I originally included this HOWTO guide as a reply to someone else's post but am posting in its own thread as it may help others who struggle to get proper iSCSI MPIO working on a Promox cluster. Coming from an enterprise VMware ESXi background, I wanted my shared storage setup the same way in Promox (albeit without LVM snapshots but Veeam fills this gap). It should be noted that this configuration is entirely done from shell and not through the web UI. I found that the GUI...

Virtual Environment 7.0-11 journalctl consuming way too much cpu.

I am having issues with journalctl consuming way too much cpu power on one of my PVE nodes. First i want to say that I am not certain if this is normal or not. I will provide some technical information with the hope that someone can assist me resolving this issue. I have 2 clusters each with 4 nodes and this is not the first time this issue is popping up. THe other servers have 1-2 journalctl processes at most but every now and then the journalctl seems to be going out of control.

Basically...

Hello, everybody.

There was a crash on our cluster today.

Working NUC Proxmox cluster on NUC's. Added a second interface to the bridge by using the USB 3.0 port on the NUC. Interface does work, tested with Iperf3 multiple times. Issue is that I if both the embedded ethernet and the USB Nic are plugged, when the Proxmoxe node comes up after a shutdown and start, the embedded 1Gb NIC has all the active connections according to "bridge fdb show". If I unplug the embedded ethernet port and shutdown and restart, the USB Nic shows all the...

Hi all,
I'm having issues backing up PVE to PBS, it's very slow and inconsistent write speed.

pve cli commands on my debian VM with pdm?

Hello,

I created a Debian VM and installed PDM. I added the three nodes part of a cluster to it and all is well. What would be the apt packages to install in order to use the proxmox (pve and qm) cli commands on my VM/PDM console?

Thanks,

Hypervisor connection issues

Hello and happy new Year!
My idea for setting up networking was to have vlans tagged by hypervisor, so the VMs are not really aware what network they are on (someone told me it's an overkill for a homelab, but I would rather follow best practices when I can and that feels like a better thing to do). I have assigned a vmbr0 to my physical interface (it's connected to trunk port) and then I have it forking into 3 VLANs (100,101,102). Each of those VLANs then goes into OPNSense as LAN...
