Hi!

Fresh install on Supermicro X11DPi-N(T) using Proxmox v6.1.

This message is looping through the log and saturates one core:

The interesting part is, the PCI address is one of two links in a bond. The port is not connected / down (NO-CARRIER).

Cannot Access Web Interface

I installed Proxmox on 3 new server and all the procedure from the iso went ok. I configured cluster and tested it, all work like a charm.
Now, after a reboot I cannot access to web interface from any server: login to ssh its ok but from web interface (tested in many browser) always return connection refued.
If I try from ssh console to connect with curl or wget I take this:
root@rvs1:/etc/pve# curl https://localhost:8006 -k | grep title

Can't get terraform to work to install VM

Right now, I'm using the API key. This means I have to use 2.9.11 version of the terraform provider, because if I use the current version, there is something about permissions and my key no longer works. However, with 2.9.11, I can't get past this error. Also, is terraform really supported? I have yet to find a blog that produces anything that works, and still can't figure out how to use my ceph storage via terraform.

Hello,
Today we have decided to upgrade our proxmox from version 7 to version 8.

After upgrading the server has been blocked giving those messages of the screenshot.

I would like to make a product request: would Proxmox be able to modify the PBS Code to deliver a ZFS over ISCSI pool? call it simply Proxmox Storage server. it doesn't have to be "HA" as it could use the "ZFS Replication" from the Truenas scale code. maybe even a merge of the truenas scale code and this https://marcelliot.net/zfs-over-iscsi-for-proxmox-and-freenas/

It doesn't have to be a feature rich , no need to share SMB or CIFS or even NFS to end users... just a rock solid...

Proxmox cannot find my NAS through NFS

I've followed the official Synology's Proxmox Storage via NFS for backup purpose, but "the volume path" with my NAS IP Address never show up. I know there are many possible culprits, so here what I know.

i've bought a PCIe-NIC with RTL8126 chip (1,2.5,5 Gbit) and having problems to set it up correctly.

Hi All,

I have been struggling with this project for about a week now trying to get my home server converted from bare metal to Proxmox. I used an application to convert my bare metal Windows install to a VMware VM on a test server, which worked great and I can boot the VM up just fine.

Hookscript with 'post-stop' when the VM was shutdown from the VM itself

Hello,

i was wondering if someone knows the answer...
Is it possible to run a hookscript after stopping the VM, when it was shutdown from itself?
From Proxmox GUI, with the Stop button, it is not a problem, the post-stop event wil be fired, and the script runs.
But with the shutdown button from a Windows VM, qmeventd says that the VM is still running, and no post-stop will be fired.

Has anybody an idea, or patch eventually?

I'm a relative beginner to proxmox, so appologies if this is simple. When I set up proxmox originally a year ago, I had used the default nameservers provided during proxmox setup from my ISP (Shaw - 64.59.144.91).

I've just changed ISPs (to Telus), and now I get name resolution errors, like

How can I configure PMG to use IPv4 for the outgoing SMTP connections?

I'm trying to use PMG as an outgoing SMTP relay and it is working except it prefers to connect using IPv6 instead of IPv4. Because of this, google, etc. is bouncing the email due to mismatched PTR (which I cannot get delegated):

How to properly import an AWS EC2 AMI exported image into Proxmox?

I'm searching for a way to import EC2 AMIs, which are composed of VMDK files, into Proxmox, but I don't know how make it work. The AMI is being generated from AWS export/import tasks.

I have seen some tutorials on the internet, but they are referring to import a instance into Proxmox, not the image itself. When importing a machine, it comes with an .ovf/.ova file, which is useful and it makes the importing work, but, when exporting as AMI, it only comes with .vmdk files...

Backup lxc and mount point

Hello Guys,

I have a question for you.

I need to back up a container with a mount point of 1TB.To complete the backup, I have to set the process in stop mode and it will take at least 6 hours to complete.

I have recently updated PVE and PBS to the latest release and chose metadata in mode detection.

Can you help me improve the performance of this backup process? I need to complete it in less time.

I trust your expertise and appreciate any assistance.

virtiofsd is used to "passthrough" parts of a host filesystem to a virtual machine with "local filesystem symantics and performance". Proxmox moved to a rust based version of virtiofsd in PVE 8 located here. Hello,

I want to install Proxmox 7.1 on HP DL380 Gen9 with UEFI Mode. I managed to switch the HP Smart array P440ar controller to HBA mode. The goal is to setup the 4x 10 TB Seagate drives in ZFS RAID10 mode.

First I tried the ISO installer in UEFI boot mode. The installation seemed to succeed.

The problem is that once Proxmox 7.1 is installed and the server is restarted... the server does not start on the "Proxmox" installation because it does not find the bootloader and asks for...

vGPU with nVIDIA on Kernel 6.8

Quite a few changes with vGPU software on Kernel 6.8. The feature is called "Vendor-Specific VFIO Framework".

Note you will need 550.90.05 for this to work which you can download from nVIDIA. Things like mixed size vGPU (you can now have different memory allocations on the same GPU) and live migration on KVM are now a feature (haven't tested that feature yet, more to come).
