Container Templates checksum mismatch

Hallo zusammen,

als Anfänger in Proxmox stoße ich auf folgerndes Problem: in der Weboberfläche gehe ich local (Server) und dann auf Container Templates, die auch angezeigt werden. Wenn ich dann auf Download gehe, bekomme ich die folgende Anzeige:

Ich habe Google auf und ab gesucht und finde keiner Lösung. Kann mir bitte jemand helfen.

Hardware ID

I setup Proxmox 8.2.2 and installed a Windows 10 VM.

I am running some software that binds it license to the hardware ID of the machine.

The software installed, but on reboot says I have no license.

I did some Google searching and the various commands to return the hardware ID actually return nothing.

Is there some way to set a hardware ID under Proxmox so my license will stick on reboot?

NoVNC crashed (Error 1006) after failed upgrade

During the execution of the upgrade process via GUI, my browser crashed. Since this happend, I am unable to use the NoVNC Console on the node.
The error code shown in the console is sometimes "Error 1006". Most of the time the console window shows just "connecting" followed by "disconnecting (detecting migration)".
The system log shows "vncshell::root@pam: command '/usr/bin/termproxy 5900 --path /nodes/[node] --perm Sys.Console -- /bin/login -f root' failed: exit code 1"

Why do I get "pve-root needs manual fsck" at INITRAMFS?

I've been using Proxmox VE 7.0.1 for about 6 months and just now ran into the second instance of the GUI not working (it starts to load but nothing is displayed & ext js errors show in browser console).

Using SSH to connect then systemctl to try and restart the UI just returned errors (sorry, I don't have them avail. now) and attempting to update complained about a read-only drive somewhere (again, no actual message avail. to share).

Adding ESXi Storage Causes ESXi to Become Unresponsive

Let me preface this with the fact that we just updated our Proxmox host this morning.

Last week after adding the <soap> parameters to ESXi's /etc/vmware/hostd/config.xml file, we were able to migrate some VMs to Proxmox. After updating our Proxmox host, we had a bunch of 'Find By Inventory Path' tasks kick off in ESXi. Once we disabled the ESXi storage on the Proxmox host, ESXi became responsive again.

Can't connect to Web GUI after upgrade version 8

Hi,

I was using the Web UI of my Proxmox server normally on version 7. After upgrading to version 8, the web interface is no longer loading. I can still access the server via SSH without any issues.

I’ve checked port 8006, and it is open and listening as expected. I can even access the console GUI using curl like this:

VM Reboot Issue - VM stuck on Proxmox start boot option screen

Hey All,

So this problem I've been having for a little while now is sometimes I will reboot a Virtual Machine and then it will fully shut down and come back and just get stuck 9/10ths of the way on the start boot option and a lot of times if it's say a Windows update scheduled at 12 am, i'll get in the morning at 8 am and it's still there just sitting like this.

Usually a forceful stop or reset will get it working again but I have no clue why this happens.

blank/black/empty console issue since update

I installed proxmox 6.1 and created 2 debian 10 containers and one debian 10 VM. For the whole first day I could just select console from the left sidebar and it would just work.

Then I did an update/upgrade and after that I could no longer console into containers. VM still worked just fine. I tried to specifically pick and option from the dropdown. I tried noVNC, SPICE and xterm.js and only noVNC worked. So I went into the options of the datacenter and changed default console to noVNC...

Adding existing LVM on iSCSI

I have had an existing proxmox host for a a few months on a NUC and been happy with it but my storage was all via iSCSI on a QNAP and as it was a NUC i had a 1G network link handling all my VM's and storage so as you can guess it could be a bit slow sometimes

I just managed to get a different box that has a dedicated 10G nic that can connect to the QNAP for storage.

I have built the new box as a standalone host and it can seethe iSCSi share over the 10G connection

SDN VLAN broke main network [solved]

In setting up a VNet for my SDN settings, I accidentally set the VLAN tag to 1 instead of 10. I then lost my network connection on node 1 (I was able to delete the vnet using node 2 before either 2 or 3 had issues). I've been able to reboot node 1 and get to the command line, but I still have no network, and I can't seem to edit /etc/pve/sdn/vnets.cfg to remove the offending vnet. I get a Permission denied message if I try to change permissions, change ownership, or edit the file.

How to add shared storage?

Hello,

I have just finished installation of two Proxmox nodes, and added them to cluster. (2x IBM X3650 M4 - i know...)
Migration and everything works perfectly, just everything is stored locally on the node.

Also I have a storage on the side IBM Storewiz V3700 which is attached to each node with fiber channel.
Both of my nodes are recognizing storage volume:

Trouble booting the proxmox-ve_8.2-1.iso headless serial console via USB

Hi,

I'm trying to do a headless installation over serial console via USB of Proxmox VE onto a Deciso DEC-850 embedded server. I've created the USB installation media twice, once with Rufus and again with Etcher, and either way when I boot to the USB, I get:

Welcome to GRUB!
error: no such device: /.disk/info.
error: no such device: /.disk/mini-info.

Output just hangs, and the Grub menu never appears, so I'm unable to continue with the installation. Any ideas? I'm stuck.

Issue Connecting to Proxmox via Azure VPN

Hi, I have an issue with network configuration on my Proxmox server.

I really want to have remote access to the configuration panel and the NAS server hosted on the server.

The problem is my Internet provider, who won't provide me with a public IP address. I don't have a static or dynamic one. My "external" IP address is their NAT address.

To work around this, I configured a P2C connection on Microsoft Azure cloud.

I just attended a VMUG where they brought in a heavy hitter that quite effectively made the case for their new product VMware vDefend Distributed Firewall (formerly known as VMware NSX Distributed Firewall). The primary focus of my job is getting us off of VMware, so I don't care about his product. If its not free, its a non-starter.

ich muss unsere IT die nächsten Jahre noch ein wenig am Leben erhalten. Aktuell habe ich zwei HP Server DL 308 G6 (8x 300 GB SAS mit RAID Controller) und DL 385 G7 (8 x 500 GB ebenfalls mit RAID Controller) unter ESXi 6.0 am Laufen. Es sind jeweils zwei Platten im Raid gespiegelt wegen Ausfallsicherheit. Im Laufe der letzten Jahre musste ich auch durchaus die eine oder andere Platte tauschen.
