If the kernel gives error messages when the server crashes​

I have begun to see a disturbing trend in both my Proxmox VE nodes, that the M2 disks are wearing out rather fast.
Both nodes are identitical in the terms of hardware and configuration.
6.2.16-12-pve
2 x Samsung SSD 980 Pro 2TB (Only one in use on each node for now) - and both are configured with ext4
The nodes was installed on 2023-09-09

Since unprivileged LXCs are not allowed to mount CIFS shares and priviliged LXCs are considered unsafe (for a reason) I was scraping my head around how to still have my NAS shares available in my LXCs, f.e. (Jellyfin, Plex, ...).

The solution provided by the Proxmox Wiki would require many changes to the PVE host config, which I was not willing to do.

I cannot make DNS queries with PHP in LXC containers, in VM's it works without problems.
I have not changed anything in the Proxmox firewall settings, everything is set to default.
Normal DNS queries with "ping" work fine with PHP but not,
What could be the problem?

I am still new and not quite sure why this is not working. I have been researching online for what feels like 2 hours learning about ZFS. I shutdown my two test nodes for the weekend and the VMs mounts disappeared. I remounted the drives, which felt odd that a few unmounted. I've acquired the base machine and case. It's an supermicro itx board with 1xNVMe slot and a 16xPCIe Slot. Case has room for two internal SSDs and 4xHot Swap 3.5" Bays up front. I spent the morning trying to figure this all out, and I think I've gotten it. So the first part are the steps I took to get the AMD P-States driver for CPU scaling to work. Hello,

I turned on fleecing and I'm seeing backups fail with the following error.

Code:

ERROR: zfs error: cannot create 'rpool/data/vm-10000-fleece-0': dataset already exists
...
ERROR: Backup of VM 10000 failed - zfs error: cannot create 'rpool/data/vm-10000-fleece-0': dataset already exists

Is there a way to reset/delete the fleece dataset?

Currently, there doesn't appear to be a single http get to obtain all VMs in the cluster. Right now, I have to query the cluster to obtain the nodes, then query each node for what VMs they have, then on top of that, query each node again for each individual VM config. As you can imagine, when the cluster is remote at a datacenter and there are 30-50 hosts with a bunch of VMs/CTs, it can take a while. Hi, i'm happy to announce that i've developed a client to do backups written in Go which works on windows
It also uses shadow volume snapshots to allow backing up opened files, like Veeam and similiar stuff do

The software is alpha quality at best as of now , and only CLI, i take no responsability for data loss even of source folders or other stuff, feedback is welcome

• Moved my long-stable Retrospect network backup system to a Windows VM

ich habe mir einen 2 Node Proxmox Cluster erstellt. Einen Baremetal und der andere als VM in Unraid.
Baremetal Proxmox läuft problemlos. Die ProxmoxVM grundsätzlich auch, aber LXC Container haben keine konnektivität. Durch die Statisch vergebene IP sind sie vom Proxmox Host per ping erreichbar, aber sonst von keinem anderen Gerät. Die Container könnnen auch nicht raus pingen. Ist DHCP eingestellt, bekommen sie keine IP.
Migriere ich die LXC auf den Baremetal Proxmox, läuft alles.

I've had a Proxmox install running rock solid for months and all of a sudden it's randomly rebooting. It can run for 5 minutes or 5 hours. The weird thing is, I've basically u

server is new in Hetzner, backup goes to a storage box.

Using proxmox since 7.4 and used a qdevice with no issues upto a mess up on my part needing a complete reinstall of 2 nodes

ich suche seit Tagen im Netz nach einer brauchbaren Lösung und eine Erklärung welche Einstellungen bei einer Windows 11 VM in den Display Einstellungen der VM die besten Einstellungen sind.
Aktuell nutze ich nur die Default Einstellungen, inkluseive Standard Memory aber es gibt auch noch Standard VGA, VirtIO etc.. welches ist das beste um ca. 8 Benutzer eine einfache aber funktionsfähige VM pro User per RDP zur Verfügung zu stellen.
