Proxmox VE 2.x Installation Boot from NetApp SAN

Hi Guys,

Been using Proxmox VE latest on some test machines with local disks. So far, no problems. So I decided to go ahead and use it with some spare Cisco UCS Blade Servers booting from a NetApp SAN. To my disappointment, I encountered the same problem as highlighted by these posts:

http://forum.proxmox.com/threads/305...rom-NetApp-Lun

The recommendation to follow the Debian Way is just too much for me, as I have used CentOS and OpenVZ on the same server booting off the SAN with no problems. Just for reference, here are some documents I found which might help other out there:

Official Guide from NetApp:
http://linux.netapp.com/docs/debian/...guration-guide
http://linux.netapp.com/docs/debian/...guration-guide

I also found this guide but it's unofficial. I think this guide applies to me as I see the same thing (4 different disks = 4 paths?)

Now I'm really wondering if someone from the Proxmox team can produce an official guide for Proxmox to deal with this issue. I see that this is a Debian problem, but I think it would really make Proxmox more palatable to us users of SAN devices. The last link I posted is something that everybody would like to have.
