Hi guys,
I operate a 16 node cluster with 10Gbit iSCSI through to a HP SAN as my VM storage. Performance seems excellent and I have MPIO configured on every host.
However I noticed that the IO Delay stat on the host summary page moves between 0 and 3%. Mostly 0 but hovers around upto 3% every few seconds or so.
Does this IO delay number only count the hosts own disks or does it take into consideration the iSCSI LVM disks. (Well, these would appear local). I have no performance problems and from memory a performance test I ran on the host was good. Is there a good benchmark i can run to test my iSCSI throughput?
Or is this nothing to worry about?
Tom
