I was performing a synchronization of /etc via Winscp when I realized it was deleting files/directories, I cancelled the operation but then noticed that a large chunk of /etc had disappeared. I'm missing all files / directories that started between the letters a-o. I can still SSH in but it looks like I've lost the shell so can't perform some operations. Is there any way to perform a recovery? I did not have a backup as I was in the process of configuring it. I feel fantastic right now thanks for asking.
