custom install thoughts

i am considering doing a custom install with proxmox and openattic installed on the same core. if i have to install debian first and apt-get both packages i am o.k. with that. i think the performance of proxmox being able to directly access the ZFS arrays would be hugely beneficial.

does this make sense or am i on drugs?
