Can't access Proxmox webui at port 8006

Hi
I have installed proxmox and changed the NIC in interfaces to eth1 because it did'nt work on eth0. I dont get errorrs but i can't access the webui.
This is my networkconfig:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

auto vmbr0
iface vmbr0 inet static
address xxx.xxx.xxx.xx
netmask 255.255.255.xxx
gateway xxx.xxx.xx.xx
bridge_ports eth1
bridge_stp off
bridge_fd 0

Any ideas ?
