Can I suggest a feedback area? It doesn't need to be paid attention to like the support area, but the devs should probably consider this especially with the effort to monetise the product to a greater fashion.
For my part, my testing of 3.1 has sorted out a few things - neither of these things were given much effort in threads raised previously in support but they seem to now have been addressed.
Backups are now restoring at normal speeds - writing out at 100Mb/s is now no problem to a single sata disk, disk writes per second are right down from the thousands they used to be and it's also utilising the disk at 100% - and also support of the new marvell 6GBit HBA's is a huge from my perspective - the Highpoint 2720SGL I have a test machine with web interface installed, and it works great.
