Hello, I was wondering what the proper procedure is for adding a tap device to proxmox would be? I have scoured the forums and google but keeping coming across old information or instructions telling me to install openvpn and use openvpn to create the tap device, which I am sure is not the proper way.
I am following the tutorial at http://www.nedproductions.biz/wiki/configuring-a-proxmox-ve-2.x-cluster-running-over-an-openvpn-intranet/configuring-a-proxmox-ve-2.x-cluster-running-over-an-openvpn-intranet-part-1 but that tutorial wants to start a vpn using a device named tap0 which I do not have. I am reluctant to create it using brctl because I don't want to cause potential naming collisions with anything dynamically created later on.
