I am trying to sort out permissions (ie having different permissions for different datastores) and I realized you can't have a user as a member of 2 different groups. This would be useful, otherwise have to add a user to a Datastore one by one if I want them to have 2 different types of permission.
ie i have 2 permission levels - backup and restore. the backup group has permission to the backup storage and restore gives them permission to create but only on a new volume - figured that'd be useful.
Anyway, can someone clarify
1) What permission someone needs to clone a VM? I get a 403 when I give my user the VM.Clone permission
2) What is the difference between Datastore.Allocate and Datastore.AllocateSpace
