Hello,
I created a Debian VM and installed PDM. I added the three nodes part of a cluster to it and all is well. What would be the apt packages to install in order to use the proxmox (pve and qm) cli commands on my VM/PDM console?

First time post here, I am about to purchase the MS-01 from minisforum, intel i9-13900h and have been doing a little research, it seems from what I can tell most installs are OK on this machine with a bit of tweaking required, however I thought I would reach out to this community if anyone has successfully or unsuccessfully installed proxmox on the ms-01 and what I should expect or look out for etc before I commit to the purchase.

Hello guys,
I have a problem with backup with corrupted block on a 123 GB position, and this corrupted fragment makes unpacking/restore of a whole backup impossible, although other blocks are fine.
I do not understand fully the situation, how blocks got corrupte cause when
I scrutinize file with logs of created backup it is 100% fine (I attach them), without errors, and it should work fine, but it doesn’t. S
um of md5 is also correct.

Hello,
I have a proxmox server with one static IP Adress, a SDN with a virtual net, dhcp and snat in the range of 192.168.200.0/0. the Client (Windows 11) has Internet connection without a problem. Now I installed wireguard client on Windows 11 and tried to load a config file from my router. This config file works with my notebook, but not in my proxmox guest. I cannot ping the other side and vice versa. I guess some config on the proxmox server is missing. Can anyone help? Thank you.

so i followed some videos that said choose "virtio block" as the disk type but now im reading that the latest versions i should have left it on "SCSI" for hard disk and the scsi controller as "virtio scsi single"
unfortunately i built a few windows servers and already configured them before i realised this and was wondering if there was a correct way to change this after the event, all attempts of adding a dummy drive and attaching and swapping over has led to blue screen of death.

Hello,
I created backups for all of my VMs on a nfsshare and wanted to restore them. The majority succeeded without any problems but for 3 as far as I know it fails on decompressing with Decoding error (36) : Restored data doesn't match checksum
I'm not that confident anymore that I can recover the data, but maybe smn can help me here.

Hey there Proxmox forum,
I have a 4-node cluster that I had just finished repairing after it went split-brain on me a few weeks ago, I thought I had resolved all the issues with the hosts and everything was clustering correctly, however today after rebooting one of the hosts (zeus) it is not able to start the pve-cluster service.

I've been searching for quite some time and haven't found a clear answer. There was a question from 2012, but the answer was that the limit on the number of SATA drives was going away. So I need some help/clarification.

Since last Ceph update (to current 17.2.5) we noted that every node reboot will mark OSDs from that node as crashed. However they return with the server boot normally.
I checked ceph and journalctl logs, and I did not find anything relevant about the daemons crashing (timeout, segfault, etc)
Is this something normal after the reboot (the CEPH HEALTH_WARN)? Seems not, because this is new for us.

Ich habe einen Proxmox Container den ich 1x im Monat über die Backupfunktion sichere, gesicht wird auf ein Syno Nas.
Das funktioniert alles einwandfrei!
Ich hab im Container Ändeurngen vorgenommen und benötige jetzt aus dem Backup diverse Daten um die wieder im laufenden ystem einzufügen, meine Idee war ich spiele Das Backup in einen neuen Container und exportiere die Daten.
Das will aber leider nciht so wie ich will

i'm new here, I apologize if this has been asked/answered before.
I have recently backed up a bunch of vms over NFS. Reviewed all of the logs to confirm they completed successfully
When i try to restore the file through the gui to will start the process and get to 100% and just sit there. It never completes, but also i do not see any errors in the syslog. Most of these VMs can be rebuilt so it isn't a life or death situation. Would just like to know what else i should troubleshoot or...

I'm still very new to proxmox. I have set up monitoring with telegraf, influxdb2 and grafana on a few on my pc's and raspberry pi5's. But for some reason i can't see the gpu temp when i type in sensors. I have installed the lm-sensors, i can see all the other temps, just not my GPU. The GPU i'm using is a rtx a2000. it is listed when i type in lspci.
VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GA106 [RTX A2000 12GB] (rev a1)

Is it possible to wake up vm using keyboard and mouse that are connected to the host?
Whenever Win11 VM goes to sleep you have to wake it up with resume in proxmox.

Hello,
I've just set up proxmox on my old pc, however it refuses to connect to download.proxmox.com or any other mirror I try, I have tried running apt update numerous times, however it just hangs on "Waiting for headers". Commenting out the non-sub repo in my repo sources allows me to update debian packages, so I don't know if it's got anything to do with my networking and/or DNS, but pveam update does not work as well due to the bugged proxmox repo. I can ping download.proxmox.com as well...

I'm having the same issue as
this thread, which was supposedly resolved in 1.3. although it appears to be happening in 8.2.2. I'm just trying to create a VM with a local ISO.

Hello.
After latest pre-8.1 update some of VMs (mostly with linux) has started to hung right after backup.
Backups are made with latest Proxmox Backup server (3.0-4) to NFS Datastore.
We have 6 backup jobs which don't cross each other in time. Today's night a linux VM has hung which was the only one VM in backup job.

I have a cluster with local and NFS storage for VMs. From what I understand, there are two types of VM migrations:
* VM state (from pve01 to pve02)
* VM storage (e.g. from one NFS storage to another, in between NFS and local storage, etc)
In Web UI, it has datacenter > options > migration settings where I can choose the interface for "migration." which type of migration does it refer to? I am trying to make sure such traffic are not competing with the VM guest traffic.
